Boise, ID — Bogus Basin is giving winter sports fans one last chance to hit the slopes this season. The mountain resort announced it will extend the 2024/25 winter season with a Bonus Weekend on April 19 and 20, offering two more days of skiing, snowboarding, and entertainment.
“This has been an amazing year at Bogus Basin, and conditions remain excellent,” said Nate Shake, Director of Mountain Operations. “Our team has gone the extra mile—keeping the slopes in great shape, opening early on many days, and providing excellent guest service. From maintenance to snowmaking to lift operations, everyone is working together to make the season memorable.”
All ski lifts will be running during the weekend, and guests can use their valid 2024/25 season passes. This includes Night, Twilight, Midweek, and Nordic passes.
Activities on the Mountain
The weekend promises more than just skiing and snowboarding. On Saturday, DJ Locomotive will kick off the festivities with live music starting at 11 a.m. One of the weekend’s highlights, the Pond Skim, begins at noon. In this crowd-favorite event, participants try to glide across a cold pool of water on skis or snowboards while fans cheer them on.
On Sunday, the fun continues with a live performance by High Pine Whiskey Yell. The local band will take the stage on the ICCU Plaza from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., bringing the season to a lively close.
Bogus Basin will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days. Lift tickets are available online or at the Simplot Ticket Window. Guests are also encouraged to wear fun and festive costumes to mark the final day of operations.
With fresh snow, full lift access, and community celebrations, the Bonus Weekend gives skiers and riders a memorable way to say goodbye to winter.
