Mammoth Mountain will open its mountain bike park for the season on May 23, offering access to limited terrain. This launch comes as the ski and snowboard season continues through at least Memorial Day weekend, ending no earlier than May 26.
The overlap means visitors will be able to enjoy both skiing and mountain biking in the same week—an uncommon opportunity made possible by the mountain’s late-season snowpack and high elevation.
When fully open, Mammoth’s bike park features more than 80 miles of singletrack trails, including pavers, berms, jumps, and drops. It also offers a Discovery Zone designed for beginners. On opening day, adult tickets for the bike park will start at $29. Helmets are mandatory for all riders using the park.
Meanwhile, skiing and snowboarding remain in full swing. As of now, 85 out of 178 trails are open, with 9 of the resort’s 24 lifts in operation. The mountain has received 283 inches of snow this season, and base depths range from 60 to 114 inches.
Mammoth will also host themed activities throughout Memorial Day weekend. The Mammoth Yacht Club will return with its ocean-inspired festivities, including boat races on Saturday, May 24, live music performances, and exclusive apparel releases.
With spring conditions in full effect, Mammoth Mountain offers a rare mix of winter and summer sports in one destination.
