Donner Summit, California — Donner Ski Ranch has announced that this weekend will likely mark the end of its 2024/25 winter season. The resort cited rising temperatures and rapidly melting snow as the main reasons for the early closure.
In a recent Instagram post, the resort confirmed that lifts are scheduled to run on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, for what is expected to be the final weekend of operations.
To mark the season’s end, Donner Ski Ranch is offering several promotions. Adult lift tickets are priced at $69, and equipment rentals are available for $30. Skiers and snowboarders with a valid 2024/25 season pass from another resort can purchase a lift ticket for just $25. These passholders can also access up to four $25 Buddy Tickets. Those holding a Donner Ski Ranch season pass are eligible for unlimited $25 Buddy Tickets.
As Donner Ski Ranch prepares to wind down its season, only a handful of ski resorts remain open in the region. Palisades Tahoe is among the few still offering skiing and snowboarding.
