Emily Jenkinson Wins Open Women’s Title at Tiger’s Milk Winter Classic in Muizenberg

MUIZENBERG, CAPE TOWN – Emily Jenkinson claimed a dominant victory in the Open Women’s division at the 2025 Tiger’s Milk Winter Classic surf contest, held on Sunday, June 1. The competition took place in ideal conditions, with clean long-period swells and offshore winds offering excellent surf at Muizenberg Beach.

Jenkinson showcased strong wave selection and sharp execution in the final heat, earning a commanding score of 12.94. She comfortably outperformed runner-up Katie Winter, who finished with 6.33 points.

In the Open Women’s Longboarding division, Angelica Rosslind took top honors, edging out Cara Stubbs who finished second.

Reza de Nicker, General Manager of Surfing South Africa, praised the competitors for their efforts. “The standard of surfing throughout the event was top-class. Everyone raised their game in the finals. Congratulations to all the winners,” he said.
