MasterCraft Launches Annual Surf to Save Lives Campaign to Support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

MasterCraft Boat Company has announced the return of its Surf to Save Lives philanthropic campaign for the third consecutive year. The initiative brings together the watersports community to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting its critical work against childhood cancer and other serious illnesses.

Over the past two years, MasterCraft has donated a total of $150,000 to St. Jude, reaching its maximum annual contribution of $75,000 each year. The company remains committed to this mission in 2025, helping ensure that families never face bills for treatment, travel, housing, or food while focusing on their child’s care.

From May 23 to September 30, boaters across the nation can join the campaign by tracking their time on the water using the MasterCraft Connect app. Whether they are wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, or wakesurfing, every minute spent behind a boat will count toward supporting St. Jude. For each minute logged, MasterCraft will donate $1, up to a maximum of $75,000 for the season.

Participation is open to all boaters—not just MasterCraft owners—making it easy for anyone to contribute by simply downloading the app and recording their water activities.

“We couldn’t be more excited to continue the Surf to Save Lives campaign with St. Jude,” said Krista Schipner, MasterCraft’s vice president of marketing. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how this initiative positively impacts St. Jude families. We look forward to another summer of creating meaningful memories on the water while supporting a cause that is very close to our hearts.”

At St. Jude, the cost of care for some children can exceed $1 million per patient. More than half of St. Jude’s patients are underinsured or uninsured. Even when families have insurance, St. Jude bills the insurance company directly. Importantly, no family ever receives a bill for care or is asked to pay co-pays or deductibles.

Alexa Score, a childhood cancer survivor turned professional wakeboarder, TV host, and advocate, serves as the official spokesperson for the Surf to Save Lives campaign. Score credits time on the water as a source of strength during her treatment and continues to champion the campaign’s mission.

“Since the launch of this campaign, my excitement has only grown each year,” said Score. “It’s been an honor to support St. Jude’s mission with MasterCraft. Every summer, I’m inspired to see boaters across the country turn their time on the water into something truly meaningful.”

In addition to the public campaign, MasterCraft employees can support St. Jude through the company’s Employee Giving Program, further extending the company’s commitment to the cause.
