MOUNTAIN CREEK, N.J., May 11, 2025 — The second round of the 2025 Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series Presented by Continental Tires wrapped up in thrilling fashion this weekend, with Monster Army mountain bike athletes securing wins and podium finishes across multiple divisions at Mountain Creek Bike Park in New Jersey.
From May 8 to 11, top young talent in U.S. downhill mountain biking gathered for the event, part of a five-stop national series leading to the season finale at the Fox US OPEN of Mountain Biking, set for September 25–28 at Killington Resort.
In the Pro Men’s Division, 22-year-old Dante Silva from San Diego, California, claimed third place with a fast and technical run, completing the course in 2 minutes, 16.586 seconds. Silva showed strong control on the rugged terrain and held his own against a stacked field of elite riders.
The Pro Women’s Division saw 19-year-old Taylor Ostgaard of Selah, Washington, earn a second-place finish in one of the event’s tightest races. Ostgaard crossed the line in 2:41.676, missing the top spot by just 0.022 seconds.
The Cat 1 Junior Men 17-18 Division highlighted rising stars, with Ryder Lawrence, 17, from Menifee, California, taking first place with a strong time of 2:20.259. Fellow Monster Army riders joined him on the podium: Alex Mallen, 17, from Park City, Utah, claimed third with 2:24.500, and Jack Zenoni, 18, from Short Hills, New Jersey, placed fourth in 2:24.741.
In the Cat 1 Junior Women 17-18 Division, Monster Army riders delivered a podium sweep. Mary McLarnon of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, led the group with a commanding 2:43.527 finish. Sara Ligman, 17, followed in second with a time of 2:51.040, and Samantha Porras, also 17, from Los Angeles, California, took third with 2:54.786.
The Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series continues to highlight the depth of talent within the Monster Army program, giving young riders the platform to compete on a national level and build toward professional careers.
