BOISE, Idaho — In celebration of its 83rd anniversary, Bogus Basin is giving ski and snowboard enthusiasts a rare opportunity to hit the slopes in May.

The resort’s marketing team recently announced that all 2024-25 season pass holders will receive a complimentary ticket to ski or snowboard on May 3. In addition, anyone with a single mountain ticket from any local resort can also obtain a ticket for the day.

This event aligns with Idaho Gives, a statewide initiative, and Bogus Basin encourages the community to join together in support during the week.

This will be the second time the resort has opened in May, following last year’s historic May opening, which saw the snowiest day in the resort’s history during the 2022-23 season.

However, Bogus Basin has noted that beginner trails will be closed on May 3, with only intermediate and expert trails available for skiing and snowboarding. The resort will operate during its regular hours, with additional event details expected to be shared later this week.
