Whistler, B.C. — Swedish outdoor gear brand Peak Performance has unveiled its 2025 mountain biking apparel line, introducing a collection of understated yet functional gear tailored for trail riders. Though best known for its high-performance winter wear, the company has operated a storefront in Whistler, British Columbia, for years and is now expanding its presence in the cycling market.
The new collection includes a range of items for both men and women, such as MTB shorts and pants, liner shorts, and both long- and short-sleeved trail shirts. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, the gear avoids bright colors and flashy logos, appealing to riders who prefer a more subtle look.
Lightweight, Durable Trail Shorts
At the core of the new lineup are the Trail MTB Shorts, built for comfort and durability on rugged terrain. Made from a two-way stretch Polyamide/Elastane fabric—much of it recycled—the shorts are both lightweight and breathable. A DWR (durable water-repellent) coating offers added protection against moisture.
Designed with riders in mind, the shorts allow space for knee pads and feature a longer front cut for full upper-leg coverage. Practical features include a zippered leg pocket with an internal mesh sleeve for securing a smartphone, and a hidden pocket for a lift pass. The waistband is adjustable, using elastic webbing and side tension locks, and fastens securely with a double button and hook system.
Men’s shorts are available in Black, Blue Shadow, and Pine Needle, in sizes S through 2XL. Women’s options come in Obscure (maroon), Avid Beige, and Black, with sizes ranging from XS to XL.
Trail Shirts with Wool Blend Comfort
Also part of the 2025 release are Peak Performance’s Trail Wool Blend Shirts. Available in both long- and short-sleeved versions, these tops are made from an 85% Polyester and 15% wool mix. The fabric is soft, breathable, and ideal as a base layer or lightweight standalone jersey. Flatlock seams help prevent chafing during long rides.
Each shirt includes a small side pocket, suitable for storing small items like snacks or credit cards. Color options include Avid Beige/Sand Fog and Black, for both men and women. Men’s sizes range from S to 2XL, and women’s sizes from XS to XL.
