The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning for dangerous ocean swimming conditions and heightened rip current risks along the San Diego coast from Tuesday morning through Thursday evening.
According to the NWS, a beach hazards statement was issued at 1:04 a.m. Monday, covering coastal areas of San Diego during this period.
Surf heights are expected to reach between 4 to 6 feet, with occasional sets peaking up to 7 feet anticipated on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The most significant surf conditions are forecasted for southwest-facing beaches in northern San Diego County, with potentially perilous rip currents anticipated, as per the weather service.
Forecasters indicate that surf conditions will gradually diminish starting Thursday.
As a precautionary measure, the NWS advises the public to refrain from entering the water to avoid unsafe swimming conditions.
