Hyland Hills Ski Area in Minnesota has pulled off an impressive feat by preserving a large pile of snow under giant plastic tarps. This stored snow will allow the resort to host a rail jam event on June 11 — well into the summer season.

The backyard-style rail jam competition is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, from 3 to 9 p.m. While all competition spots have been filled, spectators are invited to attend the event free of charge. Organizers encourage everyone to come out and enjoy “some winter fun in the summer.”

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, attendees can enjoy live music and a Happy Hour on the patio, where food and drinks will be available for purchase.
