The Arunachal Cycling Association (ACA) held its annual general meeting on May 27 to elect new members and plan for the upcoming Mountain Terrain Biking (MTB) Nationals. The meeting was a key moment for setting the direction of cycling in the state.
ACA President Mutchu Mithi chaired the two-session meeting. The first session focused on selecting and electing members to the General Body. This step aims to strengthen the association’s organizational structure.
During the second session, members discussed district affiliations and preparations for the MTB Nationals. They also talked about Arunachal’s participation in future national cycling events and how to improve the state’s presence at the national level.
Ramesh Linggi, Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, gave a presentation explaining the ACA’s Constitution, including its Memorandum and Articles of Association. His overview helped clarify the basic rules that guide the association.
A major announcement was made about forming an organising committee by June 15 to manage the upcoming national cycling event. This committee will help ensure smooth planning and coordination. The event is expected to be a significant milestone for Arunachal’s cycling community.
