Niseko-based outdoor gear rental and mountain experience company Rhythm Japan is expanding once again. Its newest project, Rhythm MTB, is a specialized bike store set to open in Hakuba on June 14.

Located about 400 meters from the current Rhythm Summit Hakuba, Rhythm MTB will offer a wide range of e-bikes, mountain bikes, and town bikes. According to Rhythm Japan’s Alex Callan, the new store is just a 10 to 15-minute ride from the popular Hakuba Iwatake MTB Park and sits next to the evo Hotel Hakuba.

Once Rhythm MTB opens, all bike rentals previously handled by Rhythm Summit Hakuba will move to the new store.

However, Rhythm Summit will remain open year-round with its current retail services.

Rhythm MTB will also introduce the Rhythm Tunes Bike Workshop—the first workshop of its kind in Hakuba. This service will connect customers with professional bike technicians to help maintain and tune their bikes.

Founded in 2005 in Niseko, Rhythm Japan initially focused on winter gear and experiences. Since 2009, the company has expanded to Furano and Hakuba, now offering a full range of outdoor products and activities throughout the year at all locations.
