The much – anticipated 2025 regular season for the Dallas Wings is set to kick off on a high note. The team will open their campaign on Friday, facing off against the Minnesota Lynx at UT – Arlington’s College Park Center. The offseason was filled with significant milestones, especially the acquisition of the No. 1 overall pick, Paige Bueckers, which has skyrocketed the public’s interest in the Wings to an unprecedented level.
The team has also been working hard in training camp, with players showing great chemistry and determination. Additionally, new strategies have been implemented by the coaching staff, aiming to maximize the team’s potential this season.
The season opener against the Lynx is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday and will be broadcast on ION. This is just the first of 11 games that the Wings will have on ION throughout the year. Other notable ION – broadcasted games in 2025 include a June 6 showdown with the Los Angeles Sparks, a June 13 encounter with the Las Vegas Aces, and the highly – anticipated June 27 matchup against the Indiana Fever at the American Airlines Center.
This season, a total of 23 out of the Wings’ 44 games will gain national exposure across various platforms. Specifically, 11 games will be on ION, 3 on ESPN, 2 on ABC, 4 on NBA TV, 2 on CBS Sports Network, and 1 on Prime Video. Additionally, ESPN3 will stream five of the Wings’ games.
All games not selected for national TV will be accessible to fans in the Dallas – Fort Worth area on KFAA (Ch. 29). It’s worth noting that KFAA announced a partnership with the team in February. Moreover, games airing on NBA TV, CBS Sports Network, ESPN3, and Prime Video will also be locally broadcast by KFAA.
The Wings are starting the regular season on their home court at UT – Arlington’s College Park Center. They will play their second game, against the Seattle Storm, at the same venue on May 19. However, fans will have to wait until May 31 for the team’s next return to Arlington. In total, the Wings, who have sold out season tickets for the second year in a row, will play 21 home games at College Park Center. This count does not include the June 27 game against the Fever at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. In the future, after moving to Memorial Auditorium in downtown, the Wings will make Dallas their permanent home for the foreseeable future.
