The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), in partnership with the Portuguese Winter Sports Federation (FDIP), is hosting the spring meetings of its technical committees in Vilamoura. Over 650 delegates from 137 countries have gathered for the event, which is taking place at the Algarve Congress Center.
The meetings, running until Friday, bring together top experts in skiing and snowboarding. The focus is on preparing for and discussing the upcoming sports season. This marks the first time Portugal has hosted this important event, after the 2020 congress, originally planned for the country, was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The FIS, the global governing body for skiing and snowboarding, is responsible for regulating, developing, and promoting these sports worldwide.
