Siargao, Philippines – Former actress Andi Eigenmann placed sixth in the Queen of the Point women’s surfing competition held at Cloud 9 in Siargao, marking her first appearance in a surfing finals.
Eigenmann shared the milestone on Instagram, posting a series of photos capturing moments from the event. “Stoked! Made my first ever finals at Queen of the Point — Cloud 9! Placed 6th! Yiiw!” she wrote in the caption.
The 33-year-old expressed her gratitude to the organizers and her fellow surfers. She praised the “powerful, inspiring” women who competed, and thanked the event’s organizers for fostering an atmosphere of “sisterhood, strength, and the beauty of women’s surfing.”
She also extended heartfelt thanks to her fiancé, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, for supporting her throughout the competition.
“Special thanks to Philmar for lending his surfer hat to me and Lilo for the weekend, and supporting us throughout—as the designated driver, surf coach, photo and videographer, stuff carrier, feeder, water guy, and cheerleader,” she said.
Eigenmann began surfing in 2017 after relocating to Siargao with Alipayo. The couple married in 2020 and have two children together, Lilo and Koa. Andi also has a daughter, Ellie, from a previous relationship with actor Jake Ejercito.
The Queen of the Point competition is known for highlighting the talent and spirit of women surfers, drawing participants from around the world to the waves of Siargao.
