ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Sandia Peak Ski Area is reopening for an extra day of skiing after receiving 11 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. This fresh snowfall allows skiers to return to the slopes for one more day of winter fun.

The ski area had previously closed temporarily in February due to warm temperatures that left little snow. Now, with the recent snowfall, Chair 4 will be operating from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, offering skiing and restroom facilities.

However, the ski area will only accept card payments for transactions. Enjoy the extra day on the slopes before the season concludes.
