Skiers in Flagstaff are getting a bonus as Arizona Snowbowl extends its season for two additional weekends. Initially set to end on May 5, 2025, after a late-April storm brought 18 inches of snow, the resort will now stay open through May 18.

The mountain will welcome visitors on May 10-11 and May 17-18, offering more time to enjoy the slopes. “With more snow in the forecast, winter isn’t over at Arizona Snowbowl, and neither is the time on the slopes,” the resort said in a statement.

During the extended weekends, the Arizona Gondola will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, there will be no beginner terrain available, but terrain park features will be set up along the Log Jam trail. The Agassiz Lodge Restaurant, 9500’ Bar, and Hart Prairie Lodge will all remain open to serve guests.

“We’ve decided that just one bonus weekend isn’t enough,” the resort’s website stated. “So we’re announcing two more weekends of skiing and riding. It’s everything you’ve come to love about our mountain—long runs, laid-back vibes, and the freedom to ski when and where you want.”

In the past 48 hours, the mountain has received 6 inches of fresh snow, bringing the season’s total to 199 inches.

One of the best parts of the extension? Lift tickets are available online starting at just $19, with a $10 voucher for food, drinks, retail, or rentals. Children under 13 can ski for free, and equipment rentals begin at $19.

When the season ends, Snowbowl will have had 179 skiable days over nearly six months. Those who purchased a season pass for the 2025-2026 season can enjoy the remainder of 2025 for free. However, prices for season passes will increase on May 14.

Arizona Snowbowl had its earliest opening day in history in November 2024, with lifts spinning on November 8. Early-season storms allowed the resort to debut a new fixed-grip quad chairlift and four new ski trails, expanding beginner terrain ahead of schedule.

Summer operations at Snowbowl are set to begin on May 23, 2025, weather permitting.
