HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — The highly anticipated final installment of the Snapt surf film series, Snapt 5: The Final Cut, is scheduled to premiere on August 2 at Sealegs in Huntington Beach. The premiere will take place during the U.S. Open of Surfing, one of the most prominent events in the surfing world.
Filmmaker and producer Logan Dulien, also known as “Chucky,” has spent the past few years balancing his film work with personal pursuits — including his involvement in helping dismantle an international crime syndicate. Despite the demanding schedule, Dulien has pushed forward to complete what will be the concluding chapter of the Snapt series, which began in 2002.
The premiere event will feature a live performance by hip-hop artist Andre Nickatina, adding a musical element to what promises to be a major highlight of surf culture this summer.
As a prelude to the premiere, the cast of Snapt 5 will host a meet-and-greet event on August 1 at Bear Flag Fish Co. One lucky member of Stab Premium — all members are automatically entered — will be selected to join approximately 20 of the world’s top surfers for a special dinner, along with receiving two tickets to the premiere.
Currently, final edits are underway. Surf footage featuring Yago Dora and Jack Robinson is in the editing phase, while James Kates and Noa Deane are finalizing Noa’s section of the film. The official trailer is expected to drop by the end of the month.
With excitement building, Snapt 5 is poised to deliver a powerful conclusion to one of the most beloved surf film series of the past two decades.
