NewsNation joined Navy SEALs for a thrilling skydive to mark the close of Fleet Week in Los Angeles. The jump began from two miles above the ground, with freefall speeds reaching up to 120 miles per hour.
TJ Amdahl, a former member of Navy SEAL Team Seven, told NewsNation why parachuting remains vital despite advances in technology. He said that while drones and robots offer many options, a human’s decision-making cannot be replaced.
Amdahl emphasized that sometimes simple, low-tech methods like parachuting help protect aircraft and make operations easier.
