HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I — AccessSurf has officially announced the return of the Hawai‘i Adaptive Surfing Championships (HASC), set to take place from May 15 to May 19, 2025, at Queen’s Surf Break in Waikīkī.
Now entering its 17th year, the internationally acclaimed event will welcome over 90 adaptive surfers from around the globe. Competitors will face off in nine divisions as part of the Association of Adaptive Surfing Professionals (AASP) World Tour. The competition serves as the second stop on the global tour and highlights the strength, determination, and unity of the adaptive surfing community.
“The Hawai‘i Adaptive Surfing Championships provide a world-class platform to celebrate ability, elevate inclusion, and break barriers in ocean sports,” said Cara Short, Executive Director of AccessSurf. “We are honored to welcome the global adaptive surfing community back to Waikīkī.”
The event is made possible through partnerships with organizations including the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, Southwest Airlines, Kyoya Hotels & Resorts, North Shore Prosthetics, Twin Fin, ‘Alohilani Resort, High Fives Foundation, Honolulu Magazine, and Voyage Car Rental.

Spectators will have the opportunity to watch more than 90 adaptive surfers compete in thrilling heats, each showcasing skill, courage, and passion for the sport.
