As temperatures rise, many are looking for refreshing ways to stay active and enjoy the water. Abu Dhabi’s Al Forsan International Sports Resort has answered the call by launching the new Al Forsan Wakeboard Academy, set to become the UAE capital’s premier destination for young wakeboarding enthusiasts.
The academy, designed for youth aged 7 to 17, begins its first semester this month. It offers a structured training program aligned with school terms, allowing participants to balance their education and sport effectively. The curriculum emphasizes theory, practical drills, and mindset training, with regular evaluations leading to a certification of achievement.
Training is divided into three skill levels, each with a maximum of 24 students. Beginners start with the Straight Cable system, focusing on the fundamentals and building water confidence. The Semi-Pro level uses the Small Cable, introducing more technical skills such as cable control, surface tricks, and obstacle navigation. The Pro level, operating on the Big Lake, is tailored for experienced wakeboarders aiming to master advanced air tricks and performance routines. Each level offers a ten-week program targeting specific skill development.
Al Forsan International Sports Resort is already known as one of the UAE’s top destinations for activities like horseback riding, shooting, karting, and kayaking. With the addition of the Wakeboard Academy, it further cements its position as a leading hub for outdoor sports and youth development in Abu Dhabi.
