A 32-year-old experienced skydiver, Jade Damarell, is believed to have deliberately taken her own life by jumping 10,000 feet without opening her parachute. The tragic incident occurred just one day after she ended her relationship with her boyfriend.

Damarell, who lived in South Wales and had completed over 400 jumps, was no stranger to the sport. Authorities quickly ruled out any accident or foul play in her death.

According to reports, Damarell’s boyfriend, 26-year-old Ben Goodfellow, also a skydiver, ended their six-month relationship the night before her fatal jump. The couple had been living together in a rental property near the airfield, shared mostly by parachuting enthusiasts.

A close friend told the Daily Mail, “They were inseparable. They spent all their time together and didn’t really socialize with others. They did skydives together often and had been living in those lodgings since Christmas. The night before Jade died, Ben called off the relationship. He went to work the next day, and that’s when Jade fell.”

Initially, the death was treated as a tragic accident. However, SkyHigh Skydiving later issued a statement suggesting it was likely a deliberate act after an investigation found no equipment failure.

Friends revealed that police found a suicide note referring to her recent breakup. They believe Jade intentionally chose not to deploy her parachute, falling at speeds exceeding 120 mph.

Emergency services responded quickly after Jade landed at Wreford’s Farm in Shotton Colliery, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The experienced skydiver had completed more than 80 jumps this year alone.
