Skaters and Surfers to Converge for Groundbreaking Multi-Sport Event.
WACO, TEXAS — The Swatch Nines Surf and Skate event is set to return to Waco from June 23 to 25, bringing a bold mix of surfing, skateboarding, and BMX action to the iconic Waco Surf wave pool. The event, known for its creative, non-competitive format, promises an even more innovative setup this year.
After its successful debut in 2024, Swatch Nines is expanding its concept by blending multiple action sports into one immersive, three-day experience. A total of 35 elite athletes have been invited to participate in a unique session focused on progression, creativity, and fun—rather than competition.
In early 2025, the Swatch Nines team hosted a collaborative workshop in Encinitas, California. Surfers, skateboarders, and BMX riders gathered to design the ultimate freestyle environment. The result is a never-before-seen course developed entirely by the athletes themselves, allowing them to push boundaries in a way traditional contests cannot.
New venue features and design elements will be unveiled online during the week of June 16, just ahead of the event. Teasers and exclusive previews will appear on the official Swatch Nines Instagram and YouTube accounts.
Organizers describe the event as “a playground for progression,” where top talent meets creative design. While the full roster of confirmed athletes will be announced soon, the event is expected to feature a diverse mix of riders from around the world.
Whether attending in person or watching online, fans can expect cutting-edge performances, daily video highlights, and behind-the-scenes content. The Swatch Nines Surf and Skate series aims to showcase the future of action sports—collaborative, boundary-breaking, and athlete-driven.
