Two young skiers will represent Kosovo at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Gangwon, South Korea, from January 19 to February 1, according to KosovaPress.
Lirika Deva and Klos Vokshi will compete in alpine skiing events, specifically in the slalom and giant slalom disciplines. Both athletes qualified by meeting Olympic standards.
They will be accompanied by their coaches, Kushtrim Deva and Ernest Sefaj. The head of Kosovo’s delegation is Bujar Turjaka.
The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon will bring together around 1,900 athletes aged 15 to 18 from 79 countries. This is the fourth edition of the Winter Youth Olympics and Kosovo’s second appearance, following its debut at the Lausanne Games in 2020.
