DUBAI, 17 November 2024 (WAM) – Final preparations are underway for the 8th edition of the Dubai International Parachuting Championship (DIPC 2024), which will run from 28 November to 8 December at Skydive Dubai, the Emirates Aerosports Federation has announced.
Organised by the Federation with the backing of the Dubai Sports Council, the event will bring together parachuting teams and athletes from 20 countries for a showcase of aerial skill and international competition.
A key change this year involves the Precision Target Championship, which will take place at Al Sufouh Beach. Organisers say the move was made to provide a safer and more suitable environment for precision jumps. Meanwhile, water-skiing competitions will continue to be held at Skydive Dubai, as in previous editions.
Yousef Al Hammadi, Director of the DIPC Organising Committee, confirmed that 26 referees have been appointed to oversee the events, ensuring smooth operations and fair judging throughout the championship.
DIPC 2024 is part of a broader effort to strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading destination for global air sports competitions.
